| Asarabacca is used for asthma, cough, and bronchitis, but has yet to win official
recognition as effective. It has also been used, without scientific validation, to induce
vomiting, promote menstruation, trigger abortion, and relieve a variety of ailments,
including eye inflammations, chronic sneezing, pneumonia, heart pain (angina), migraine,
liver disease, and dehydration. In homeopathic medicine, it is recommended for nervous
