| Bay Laurel is sometimes added to toothpaste and deodorant because of its antibacterial
action, although scientific studies have not yet been conducted to confirm its
effectiveness. It is also recommended as an external treatment for insect bites, sprains,
and rheumatic complaints. Some herbalists believe Bay Laurel is helpful in preventing
migraine headaches and in aiding digestive difficulties. As a folk remedy, it was sometimes
used as a uterine stimulant. Bay Laurel is used in aromatherapy for muscular and arthritis
pain. |
