Brewer's Yeast

Brewer's Yeast is used for appetite loss, bronchitis, colds, cough, eczema, boils, acne, indigestion, sore throat, and tendency to infection. Brewer's Yeast is typically used as a remedy for chronic forms of acne and boils, and as an appetite stimulant.

No known medical conditions preclude the use Brewer's Yeast. If you are prone to migraine headaches, use Brewer's Yeast with caution; it can trigger migraines in susceptible people. Large quantities of Brewer's Yeast can cause gas. In some people it prompts allergic-like reactions such as itching, eruptions, rashes, and swelling. Brewer's Yeast can trigger an increase in blood pressure if you take it with a drug classified as a monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor, such as the antidepressants Nardil and Parnate and the Parkinson's disease medication Eldepryl.
