Corn Poppy is used for colds, coughs, and bronchitis, but conclusive proof of its
effectiveness remains lacking. It is also used, again without validation, as a painkiller
and sedative.
No known medical conditions preclude the use of Corn Poppy. Although Corn Poppy presents no
problems at customary dosage levels, there have been reports of poisoning in children who
ate the fresh leaves and blossoms. Symptoms included stomach pain and vomiting. No drug
interactions have been reported. This information is for educational purposes and should
not replace discussions with your doctor.
